Blast Cleaning stands for a process based on abrasive materials pushed out from a tank by the force of compressed air, used for removing any type of coating and rust, mill scale, dirt, dust, grease, oil, paints and any other foreign material from any kind of surfaces, without damaging the surface. For a Blast Cleaning, you must use a blaster, a special machine and special type of abrasive materials, called media: silica sand, organic materials, iron cast, steel etc.
Vapour Abrasive Blasting is similar to dry blasting, except that the blast media is moistened prior to impacting the surface. The abrasive and water are stored in a supply tank under water pressure. The mixture is then precisely metered into the airflow from the air compressor. These systems are very effective at dust suppression (up to 92% over dry blasting) and provide fine control over both the air pressure and the water/abrasive mixture.
Sandblasting, also known as abrasive blasting, is an advanced surface preparation technique in New England that professionals use to clean up surfaces and any foreign materials. Apart from cleaning purposes, it is also used in the removal of old paint, and preparing the surface before applying a fresh coat of paint.
Soda Blasting is the same process of blast cleaning, but instead of any type of media, we use baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) as an abrasive material. This is an eco-friendly solution for blast cleaning, not harmful to the surfaces and friendly with the environment.
